Editor’s Notes

This week will tell us if common sense
on the Iraq tragedy prevails in Washington

The official status report on Iraq will be presented to the U.S. congress this week. You can be sure in advance that it will be heavily massaged to make War-Losing President George W. Bush look good. We’ll witness a major fantasy based on a few misleading kernels of truth.

The key issue about Iraq was and is oil. This has not been resolved to the satisfaction of Bush and his Big Oil paymasters because the Iraqi are wise to the game and are not willing to surrender their birthright to a foreign invader and occupier.

In a piece below, a writer for The Guardian UK, refers to Bush as ‘deranged and absurd’. An apt observation, not to forget that this delinquent who delights in playing war with flesh-and-blood toys, is also a proven bully, coward, and a liar.

But that’s all from me. The theme of this issue is Iraq so that as events unravel this week you’ll be able to keep up with the program as one who is thoroughly informed.

On Wednesday we’ll take a break and accentuate the positive with mostly heart warming photographs focusing on kindness and having fun. Be sure not to miss it.

Looking forward
